QuestGroup has recently partnered with one of our favorite clients to hire a Senior Network Architect who is talented and passionate about their career. As the organization’s most senior technical advisor, the Senior Network Architect provides technical expertise to set the vision and strategy for the leveraged use of network technology. The Senior Network Architect applies complex design principles and methodology to ensure cost-effective and optimal use of resources and technology without jeopardizing network integrity.  Executive communication skills required to present to and influence organizational leadership, colleagues, business partners and industry experts in-line with the defined vision of the Enterprise.  Experience in cloud-based technologies, mobility, wireless, web technologies, enterprise architecture, project management, and information security technologies.




1.      Evaluate alternative technologies and architectures in relation to the organization’s LAN/WAN, Security, Data Center, and Infrastructure needs. 


2.      Define and update the IT architectural model and standards relevant for active technology portfolio management.  Publish and update network technology standards and documentation.


3.      Architect, design, develop and deliver production-ready technical solutions, services, and specifications as appropriate.


4.      Ensure that appropriate information security practices and technologies are incorporated into the IT architectural model and standards.


5.      Perform analytical, technical, and cost analysis in the planning, design, installation, and on-going administration of the organization’s core data and voice networks. 


6.      Perform network analysis, planning and modeling; proactively plan for growth and expansion.


7.      Ensure that network infrastructure architecture is fully documented and performing as required for internal and customer SLAs by means of specific metrics and measurements.


8.      Develop exit strategies to replace aging technology offerings with current new market capabilities to ensure currency and relevancy to organization direction and to prevent re-engineering of the enterprise architecture and technology models/strategy.


9.      Drive knowledge, understanding and use of networking technology through all levels of the IT organization.


10.  Translates clinical and business strategies into technology strategy.


11.  Develop understanding of the organization's business and regulatory requirements and successfully translate same to the organizational technology concepts/capabilities.


12.  Works closely with other IT leaders to address intra-departmental issues and to actively support process improvement efforts.


13.  Assists with analysis and resolution of complex networking issues as escalated by Network operations team.




Required Qualifications :

1.      B.S. degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or other related field


2.      Eight (8) plus years of experience in IS environment utilizing an Ethernet Network, enterprise network equipment, LAN/WAN design, routing technology, and Internet protocols


3.      Full understanding of OSI model technologies and practices


4.      Must possess excellent analytical skills


5.      Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Network procedures, hardware, software, and security


6.      Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical personnel across all organization areas.


7.      Demonstrate sound project management and issue resolution skills




 


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED


 


1.      Ten (10) plus years in a hospital IS environment utilizing an Ethernet Network, enterprise network equipment, WAN technology, network security technologies, RF networks, and network management tools


2.      Technical certifications, such as CCNP, CCNE, CWNP, LAN/WAN, network vendor, security, etc.


3.      Excellent project coordination skills


4.      Excellent technical troubleshooting skills


5.      Excellent communications and customer service skills


6.      Expert knowledge of standard IS technologies such as network protocols, network security, local and wide area networks, routing protocols, and wireless networks


7.      Prior healthcare experience
